Falmouth is one of the largest natural deep water harbours in the world and a busy commercial port as well as a popular leisure cruising destination.  With easy 24 hour access and numerous marinas and moorings, Falmouth provides a perfect base for exploring the Cornish coast and the Isles of Scilly as well as an enjoyable stopover on a West Country cruise.  It is also a good departure point for the Channel Islands, Brittany and Biscay passages and many sailors attempting world record breaking voyages have made Falmouth their base, most notably Dame Ellen MacArthur.

Facilities for spares and repairs are excellent in Falmouth, with a good selection of marine services, and Superyachts are also well catered for.  The High Street offers a wide range of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants so all manner of supplies are available and there is plenty to see and do ashore.  Exploring the miles of creeks and quiet anchorages nearby is also recommended, where you will find pretty villages and unique waterside pubs to tempt you away from your boat.
