Chichester Harbour is a large natural harbour with winding channels and drying mud flats to the south west of the city of Chichester.  Access to and from the sea is through a narrow entrance with a shifting shingle bar.

It has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a major wildlife haven with large populations of wildfowl and waders.  It is also one of Britain's most popular boating areas with around 17 miles of sheltered channels to explore and more than 10,000 craft regularly use the harbour.

Chichester Harbour Conservancy Board manage the harbour, patrol the waters, collect harbour dues and give advice on anchorages and moorings.  There are six marinas to choose from and a wide range of moorings and anchorages.  For trailer sailors there are plenty of launching facilities and every kind of marine service can be found within the harbour or nearby.
