Fleetwood is a thriving Victorian seaside town and busy port on the Lancashire coast just north of Blackpool, at the mouth of the River Wyre.  The town is home to the world famous 'Fisherman's Friend' lozenges and also boasts two light houses, one of them in the middle of the road.  Cruising shopaholics can indulge themselves in the traditional covered market or at the Freeport Fleetwood Outlet Village, conveniently right by the marina.  Thrill seekers can catch a tram to nearby Blackpool to ride the rollercoasters at the Pleasure Beach.

The marina, which is located in a sheltered dock accessed via a lock, has recently expanded and has good facilities for both local and visiting craft.  There is also a yacht chandlers nearby with a comprehensive range of parts, equipment and general chandlery for any necessary spares and repairs.
